Mourad studied clarinet and composition at the the W. A. Mozart Conservatory, Paris. He later decided to devote himself to jazz and improvisation, specifically on the saxophone, and developed his talents with such renowned jazz musicians as David Liebman and Steeve Lacy. He collaborates with a variety of jazz groups.
Mourad holds a state diploma as a music instructor, and teaches all levels.
